Wednesday Afternoon Book Club Meets May 28.

All who are curious about Greg Mortenson's book "Three Cups of Tea" and the humanitarian promotion of peace by this unique author, trained nurse, mountaineer, natural linguist and diplomat are invited to attend Wednesday Book Club at 1:30 p.m. May 28 in AUMC's John Allen Memorial Library.
Tom Brokaw writes of this book, "one of the most remarkable adventure stories of our time. . . a difficult quest to build schools in the wildest parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan is not only a thrilling story to read, it's proof that one ordinary person, with the right combination of character and determination, really can change the world."
All readers are welcome!

MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC!

Come make music with us at the 1st annual “Evening of Music Theatre” Event. Sunday evening, June 1st, at 7:00 p.m., "the hills will be alive with the Sound of Music". The Phantom of the Opera may make an appearance with Sky Masterson from Guys and Dolls. A Fiddler on the Roof may play her violin, or you might hear “Seventy-Six Trombones” (or at least a few trombones!) Hopefully, you will also be treated to some memorable scenes from the old and new Broadway musicals.
How does this happen? Who will be providing this music and comedy? The answer in YOU! The Music Department of AUMC needs you to sign up to be a part of this fun evening. Please call Debbie Willeford at
(303) 657-1328 or email her if you are available to "make the music happen".
This is a family event so all ages are encouraged to participate!! Circle June 1, 2008 on your calendars. I hope to see you ALL there!
