COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Open Minds, Open Hearts and Open Doors

AUMC welcomes people of all races, economic backgrounds, religious faiths, sexual and political preferences to our "Congregational and Community Table". AUMC regards our "Community" as anywhere and everywhere, perhaps only limited  by the cost of transportation to make use of our community programs.

English as a Second Language
(ESL)
"English as a Second Language" (ESL) is program for anyone who wants to become an ESL tutor or student (regardless of nonreligious, religious affiliation). Tutors receive training and no experience is required, only the desire to help others is essential. Trained tutors spend about 2 hours preparation and 2 hours class time per week.  Adult students seeking to learn English teach their English tutors many things other than language!
Narcotics Anonymous
(NA)
Independent Narcotics Anonymous groups of our local area meet at various times during the week at AUMC.
Lite Fitness Exercise program emphasizing walking, stretching and floor exercises.  Women of all ages welcome, no cost.  Meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 8:30 to 9:30 in the Center.
