I grew up in Moville, Iowa.

Family Information

I am divorced and have no children. Nieces, nephews, and my surrogate grandchildren, Cameron and Alex, keep me busy and young.

Education

I have a BA degree from Colorado State College, Masters in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado and a Masters in Educational Library Media from the University of Colorado.

Experience

AUMC is my neighborhood church and as a lifelong Methodist it is where I belong. I've served on the Library Committee, Church and Society, and the current Social Concerns committee. I usher, have taught Vacation Church School and Sunday School, have helped with the Alternative Gifts Market, sell grocery certificates and do various projects that appear.

What do you do at AUMC?

I have been the wedding coordinator for the past year.

What do you like most about being part of the AUMC team?

I appreciate how friendly and helpful everyone is, and that we are all working together as a church family.

What outside interests or hobbies do you have?

Currently, I am state president of the American Association of University Women and also keep busy with the RMPBS Art Auction, Jeffco Retired Teachers, and coordinating the OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring Program for the Aurora and Jeffco school districts. I love to travel, hike, read, and garden in my spare time.
