I was born and raised in Alliance, Nebraska.

Family Information

I have one brother, Tim, who lives in Arvada with his wife, Melissa.
I married my husband Eldie in 1995 and had Henry in 2007.

Education

BM in Piano Performance from the University of Wyoming, 1996.
MM in Piano Performance from the University of Wyoming, 2002.

Experience

I began accompanying choirs and playing for church at 15 years old. I have accompanied all ages and levels of ensembles and soloists. I was a summer theater pianist for four seasons. Over the years at various churches I have been the organist, choir director, and Minister of Music. I was working at the Steamboat Springs UMC when my husband was transferred to Denver with his job. The pastor at Steamboat saw an ad for the organist position at AUMC through a Rocky Mountain Conference publication and told me about it. That's how I ended up at AUMC.

What do you do at AUMC?

I am currently the organist for the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. services and accompany the chancel choir. In the past I have accompanied Arvada Voices and was the pianist for Crossroads.

What do you like most about being part of the AUMC team?

I have found wonderful friends at AUMC and agree with the church's progressive theology. I would not be able to work for a church that didn't accept and welcome all people. The Labyrinth is one of my favorite things about AUMC.

What outside interests or hobbies do you have?

Reading, cooking, and doing yoga.
