2010 Vacation Church School

Interested in volunteering for Galactic Blast? Our Vacation Church School is scheduled for June 14th - 18th. Many opportunities exist to help whether you have a couple of hours to spare or whether you can help for the whole week of VCS. We'll be building sets and decorations, planning and preparing snacks, making crafts, preparing music, pre-registering children and more! There will be a VCS planning meeting on Wednesday, April 7 at 6:30 pm, or you can contact Deirdre Christen.

2009 Vacation Church School

You may have noticed a change around the church in mid June. For vacation church school it became a Jesus' time marketplace. The children learned about what it was like during Jesus' time; where people lived, worked and worshiped. They had a great time visiting the marketplace where they could bake, dip candles, weave, leather work, make mezuzahs... The children shared the beautiful songs they had learned in an evening program. The preschoolers knocked our socks off. They closed the week with a Sedaka bag mission project and lots of fun games.

It took many hands to make Marketplace happen. It was amazing to see so many people; youth, moms, dads, young adults, grandmothers, grandfathers... come forward to help during this VCS week. Our congregation showered the planning committee with so many of the supplies that we needed during the week for our shops, mission project, music program and appreciation lunch. The VCS planning committee would like to express our thanks and gratitude for all of the support the congregation provided.
